Ep. #1: where the journey begins

How it all started

First things first: I missed Y2K. By 92 days. Didn’t stop me from ending up in IT anyway.

In 2020, with Covid in full swing and university still going, I decided to take the leap and try to build a business I could be proud of. How did that go? Badly, of course.

Well, let’s say: lots of paying my dues, not much revenue.

Things took a different turn in the last few years, when I started Nube, my software house.

Nube mostly builds white label websites and apps for marketing and communication agencies, plus the odd client I look after myself.

More recently, with AI moving this fast and developers shipping more than ever, I got hooked on SaaS and the solopreneur world. Building something of my own, taking it to market and owning its success or its failure: that idea really got to me.

That’s where two projects came from, Assumi and Kiedi.

As I write this, on September 27, 2026, Assumi is in beta and Kiedi launches in a few days.

Combined, they bring in a staggering €0.00 MRR…

Anyway, back to the story.

Why write these notes?

I want this to be the place where I collect my thoughts and document the journey.

A way to finally put myself out there and share what I’ve been doing for the past 6 years. Maybe then people will stop asking my mum: “So what is it your son actually does?”
